The 2013 ‘Les Amandiers’ is made from young vines of Carignan, Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. It’s almost black in color with pretty aromas of blackberry, currant, dark chocolate, violet, iron and loamy soil. Overall, it’s well made with great structure and underlying acidity providing momentum into the finish. Outstanding value. (Best 2014-2017) - September, 2014 (MD)
