The 2016 Domaine Les Hautes de Mercurol Crozes-Hermitge beings with inviting aromas of fresh raspberries and red berries which are joined by lavender, wild herbs, iodine and smoldering ash. On the palate this medium-bodied red impresses with its gorgeous silky texture that is followed by outstanding mouthwatering acidity, which persists through the brilliant finish. This is absolutely outstanding now, and should go on to offer a drinking window that spans close to a decade. Just a fantastic Crozes-Hermitge.
