The 2019 Chateau Margui Red is composed of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache. It opens to wonderful aromatics of ripe blackberries and plums which are woven together with pepper, spices, wild herbs and some lovely oak infused nuances adding complexity. On the palate this is full-bodied with beautiful round, velvety tannins and remarkable overall concentration. It remains precise and focused though the long finish, which leaves behind incredible complexities. While this is already fantastic, there is little doubt that this will become even more appealing as it evolves in the cellar.
