With a medium lemony-gold core with a watery rim in the glass, the 2020 Premier Cru Beaurepaire is vibrant and definitive on the nose. Flinty, with loads of minerality and crushed stones starting out on the nose, it develops into rich fruit tones of lush nectarine, starfruit, apricot skin, and tropical fruit. I loved the dried forest herbs, wet clay, and graphite characteristics I had on the back palate. Perfected acidity, incredibly lush and powerful but light on its feet, this is a phenomenal Satenay that I highly recommend.
