Coming from vines that are over 60 years old, this is another stunner of a Burgundy from Maison Evenstad. Opening slightly reductive on the nose, it quickly evolves into aromas of yellow nectarine, honeycomb, banana bread and nutmeg. An insanely long length, combined with perfect levels of acidity and a medium to full body to create a perfectly balanced wine that hits on all the senses. It has incredible minerality and focus - in fact, 3 minutes after my last sip, I can still taste the wine on the mid-palate. It’s a stunning wine that will cellar well for another decade or more. Highly recommended.
