The 2013 'Fourchaume' opens with aromas of smoky minerals, asian pear, toast and acacia flowers, which burst from the glass. It shows nice weight and volume on the palate, which carries over into the finish where it is nicely balanced by a gorgeous touch of acidity. This should be accessible early and continue to show well for the next few years. (Best 2015-2020) - July, 2014 (JD)
