The 2014 ‘La Croix du Coq’ Côtes du Rhône Villages is sourced from 40-year-old vines situated on clay and pebbly limestone soils. This 100% Grenache is an outstanding showing, delivering ripe blueberry and raspberry reduction, which is layered with fresh violets, olive, spices and crushed stones. This displays a wonderful rich, velvety texture along with excellent balance, concentration and a beautiful touch of acidity. It continues to deliver dark fruits and spices through the finish. Allow this just another year or two for it to be at its best. (Best 2017-2024) - April, 2016 (JD)
