The 2021 Domaine Fond Croze Rasteau Vieilles Vignes begins with inviting aromas of black raspberries and dark plums that are woven together with violets, spices, licorice and hints of earthy nuances. On the palate this shows a lovely soft, velvety texture through a medium-plus body leading up to the finish, which leaves behind flavors of plum fruits and spices lingering. Excellent now and should continue to evolve with a few more years of bottle age.
