CHÂTEAU MARCHAND Montagne-Saint-Émilion 2015

The 2015 Château Marchand Montagne-Saint-Émilion is composed of predominetly Merlot with small parts Cabernet Sauvignon from 35 to 40 year-old vines. As this begins to open it releases aromas of cherries along with violets, spices and minerals all taking shape in the glass. On the palate the Merlot commands the wine as this displays an inviting soft, round texture which is laced with dark fruits and floral undertones that presist through the long chewy finish. (Best 2017-2025) - July, 2017 (JD)
