The 2012 Château Montaiguillon delivers lovely aromas of ripe cherries, blackberries followed by tobacco, dusty minerals, wet stones and a touch sweet spice. The full body is wrapped in fine silky tannins, showing great structure and balance all the way through the long grippy finish, which is laced with even more dark fruits and tobacco flavors. Another excellent showing and a superb value in 2012 from this Château. 78% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon. 13.5% AbV. (Best 2016-2023) - March, 2015 (JD)
