The 2019 Chateau Independance Montagne Saint-Emilion is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot which begins with aromas of cherries, red berries, spices, toast, licorice, herbs and minerals that all take shape and continue throuhout the wine. The palate is medium-bodied, with a fine texture that is underlined by a nice combination of minerality and acidity which persists through the finish. I would recommend giving this another year of bottle age to flesh out a bit more.
