The 2020 Chateau Apogée Lalande de Pomerol opens to inviting aromatics of dark cherries and plums woven together with spices, tobacco and hints of leather nuances all filling the glass. This is medium -bodied, velvety and well balanced. The flavors of ripe dark berries expand beautifully across the palate, as it all comes together seamlessly on the pretty finish. A lovely Lalande de Pomerol that should do well with some short-term cellaring.
