The Château Leoville Las Cases seems to deliver outstanding results in any given vintage. 2011 is no exception, while the conditions were less than optimal in the Left-Bank, the wine is certainly a wonderful showing. It offers attractive aromas of blackberries and currants which which are woven together with exotic spices, toast, graphite and spring florals. On the palate this is medium to full-bodied with beautifully polished tannins and gorgeous overall structure and balance through the finish. This will likely need a few years in bottle before it hits its stride, but certainly has the potential for a remarkable future and could offer nearly two decades of drinking pleasure.
