The 2016 Château Marquis De Mons is a classy Saint-Émilion Grand Cru which begins with inviting aromas of blackberries and cherries woven together with florals, tobacco, minerals and hints of light spice notes that all take shape beautifully in the glass. This well structured, medium-plus bodied red displays a lovely touch of underlying acidity, which keeps beautifully balanced through the long finish. Readers should expect this to have a nice evolution ahead, and begin to show its best after another year or two in the cellar.
