My favorite Pinot Noir of Chateau de la Creé from the 2018 vintage. A scintillating wine in the glass with scents of ripe boysenberry, black cherry, Earl Gray tea, wild sage, and toasted nutmeg. It’s lively and fresh on the palate with perfect levels of acidity and silky tannin that glides across your tongue. Secondary characteristics of saline, iodine, and wet earth make this Burgundy interesting and complex and one I would come back to time and time again. Enjoy this now with a few hours of decanting or over the next decade.
