Château Le Pape was recently purchased by Château Haut-Bailly, Cru Classé de Graves, who will bring its experience and expertise as a Classified Growth to the continued development of Château Le Pape. The 2010 has a gorgeous purple color with dark fruits that jump out of glass along with notes of black tea, fresh mineral, potpourri, tobacco and tar. Mouth-coating with ultra-fine dusty tannins and a long satisfying finish. Composed of 70% Merlot 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. - October, 2012 (MD)
