The 1995 Château La Mission Haut-Brion is in a simply brilliant place after nearly a quarter century. Still beaming with plenty of life and character, this stunning Pessac-Léognan begins with incredible aromatics of blackberries and dark plum along with exotic spices, meat, savory herbs and hints of earthy nuances all soaring from the glass. On the palate this just as impressive, as it possesses wonderful depth and body, backed by ultra-fine, silky tannins which lead up the gorgeous finish. This is likely drinking as good as it ever will, however it also possesses the ability to hold for at least another decade. This is an absolute classic.
