The 2013 'Purple Angel' is seductive, sexy and downright delicious, as it instantly impresses with its depth and range of flavor. This inky colored Carménère opens with a profound bouquet of blackberry preserves, crushed wildflowers, green bell pepper and dried mint. on the palate this is dense and concentrated with a luscious mouthfeel driven by flavors of black cherries, blackberry pie along with lavender, peppercorns and green olive which persist through a lengthy, mouth coating finish. The structure and overall makeup of the wine suggest this will age gracefully over the next decade and beyond. (Best 2017-2030) - March, 2017 (OB)
