This is an incredibly well-made wine composed of 92% Carmenère and 8% Petit Verdot. It impresses with its seductive aromatic profile of ripe black currants and cassis, which are woven together with fresh bell peppers, exotic spices, chocolate shavings, tar, florals, licorice, tobacco and some dark olive nuances. On the palate this is every bit as impressive, full-bodied, intense and concentrated, yet displaying remarkable tannin structure and balance. It displays outstanding depth, as layers of ripe dark fruits, exotic spices and violets all continue to build and resonate through the long, supple finish. While this is impressive right now, it should go on to have an even brighter future ahead.
