The 2013 Los Vascos Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Réserve is composed of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Carmenere, 5% Syrah, 5% Malbec which spent 12 months in French oak barrels (20% new). This dark, brooding wine opens to interesting aromas of blackberries, cassis bud and fig, woven together with exotic spices, bittersweet chocolate and espresso notes. On the palate this possesses a full body with a nicely polished, round texture and notable concentration of fruit, which continues to expand onto the finish. (Best 2017-2023) - September, 2016 (JD)
