Coming from vines with an elevation of over 3600 feet, this blend of 29% Malbec, 24% Cabernet Franc, 24% Merlot and 23% Cabernet Sauvignon creates a lovely wine with a stunning nose. Think aromas of bruised black fruits, spicy ground white peppercorn, fresh lavender and sweet baking spices. Acidity is present, as are the medium plus tannins, and work well with the palate of huckleberry, boysenberry, green pepper, fresh sage and some gorgeous earth notes. This is wonderful now with a few hours in the decanter, but give it a few more years to really come to life. Only 208 cases produced.
