The 2014 'Le Serre Nuove' is a blend of 50% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc and 7% Petit Verdot, which opens to aromas of blackberries and cherries woven together with spices, cigar box, violets and orange zest all taking shape in the glass. Leaning more towards a full body this possesses lovely balance with nicely polished tannins and lovely underlying acidity adding a fresh edge. While its youth is still obvious, this red should evolve beautifully with a few more years of bottle age and continue to develop over the course of the next decade.
