The 2021 Daze is composed of equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Franc. It displays an impressive dark, inky color, along with a wonderful aromatic profile of ripe blackberries, black cherries and hints of boysenberries, which are accented by exotic spices, incense, wildflowers and hints of vanilla bean slowly emerging with extended air contact. On the palate this possesses a full body with excellent overall concentration, combining ripe fruit with lovely underlying acidity and minerality that lead into the long, spice-tinged finish. This is a beautifully made wine that should go on to evolve gracefully over the next decade and beyond.
