The 2022 'Ilumination' Sauvignon Blanc from Quintessa comes from vineyards in both Napa Valley (45%) and Sonoma County (55%). It is a gorgeous wine that opens with seductive aromas of citrus fruit, white peaches, lime zest and lychee that sit alongside hints of fresh green herbs, honeysuckle and crushed stones. The palate is beautifully textured and balanced, showing flavors of citrus, peaches, flowers and mineral notes, which all lead into the fresh and focused finish. Overall, this is a stunning Sauvignon Blanc which is simply delicious today and could continue to gain complexity with some short-term cellaring.
