The 2018 Tierra Roja Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is sensational. It instantly grabs your attention with its incredible complex aromatics of ripe blackberries, dark cherries and currants which are beautifully accented with pencil shavings, tobacco, exotic spices and crushed gravel all emerging from the glass. On the palate this is even more impressive, with is full-bodied texture and gorgeous round polished tannins. It goes on to display impeccable balance, outstanding concentration and remarkable depth, as it glides seamlessly through the supple finish. This is without question the most impressive release I have yet to taste under the vineyards own label, and while it is already outstanding, it will certainly go on to age incredibly well for many years to come.
