The 2016 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 'Panzano' is another outstanding wine from Castelli di Grevepesa in this vintage. It begins with inviting aromas of red cherries and plums which are woven together with spices, licorice, scorched earth, leather and hints of fresh cut flowers. On the palate this is medium-bodied with a lovely silky texture and notable overall balance. Everything comes beautifully on the pretty finish as it leaves behind streaks of red berries and spice flavors lingering on. This should continue to drink beautifully over th course of the next decade.
