The 2018 Volcanic Hill Cabernet is simply magical. This instantly impresses with its stunning aromatics of ripe blackberries, blueberries and currants, which join together with violets, loam, graphite and hints of fresh basil that all come together and emerge from the glass. On the palate this is medium to full-bodied and impeccably structured with round polished tannins that are seamless and elegant. It displays wonderful concentration and depth, with a gorgeous ripe core bursting with flavors of blue and dark fruits, along with violets and spices that continue to build and linger effortlessly through the graceful finish. The 2018 Volcanic Hill is phenomenal wine from Diamond Creek that is already extremely attractive and should go on to drink incredibly well for many years to come.
