The 2018 A. Price Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is nothing short of a sensational wine from Patria in this vintage. As this fascinating wine unwinds in the glass it releases its incredible aromatics of black raspberries and dark plums that are woven together with exotic spices, herbs, mint and a touch of dried lavender. On the palate this is full-bodied and beautifully structured with fine tannins and wonderful overall balance, as the fresh acidity and minerality frames its core of ripe red and dark fruits. Everything comes together beautifully on the long, firm finish that leaves a lasting impression. This is an impeccably made Cabernet Sauvignon from Tony Biagi that will require some bottle age before it shows its best, but nonetheless a simply thrilling wine that will impress for decades to come.
