The 2018 Col Solare is fantastic. It is composed of predominately Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Cabernet Franc. this gorgeous red is bright and lively with wonderful verve. It begins with wonderful aromatics of dark cherries, black currant and plum, woven together with exotic spices, cassis, dried spring flowers, graphite, mesquite and even some hints of coffee taking shape beautifully in the glass. The palate is full-bodied and structured with rich, velvety tannins. It contines to impress with its gorgeous underlying acidity that frames the core of dark and red fruits, keeping it fresh and inviting. Focused and balanced from start to finish, this is a beautiful wine that will age gracefully for two decades.
