2018 is the debut for Fe Wines and their Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon which is drop dead gorgeous. It is composed of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon with small percentages of Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. This instantly impresses as it explodes open with seductive aromas of ripe dark currants, black cherries and hints of dark plums, which are woven together with exotic spices, iron, fresh sage, tilled-soil, cocoa powder and crushed gravel. On the palate this is simply stunning, boasting a gorgeous full body that is deep, layered and beautifully polished. This continues to impress with its striking overall balance, concentration and remarkable supple texture that glides seamlessly through the long multi-dimensional finish. While this is already sensational at this early age, it also has the potential to evolve gracefully for decades. This is an absolutely marvelous wine from the team at Fe Wines.
