The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is absolutely thrilling wine from Leonetti in this vintage. This blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec, and 2% Petit Verdot begins with striking aromas of blackberries, dark currants, sweet spices, dark chocolate, graphite, tobacco and floral notes all taking shape beautifully. On the palate this is just as impressive, displaying outstanding structure with gorgeous polished tannins. There is a remarkable balance of power and elegance, coupled with with a wonderful purity of fruit and notable depth leading up to the long, mouthwatering finish. The 2018 is already showing incredibly well, however it also possesses the potential to age tremendously well for many years to come.
