The 2017 Monvigliero is all about elegance. This Barolo comes from a special microclimate in the Northern reaches of region: warm during the day and cool at night, thanks to the fresh air currents from the Tanaro river. This gorgeous wine begins with wonderful fresh aromatics of red berries, strawberries, fresh florals, licorice, eucalyptus and crushed stones. On the palate this us beautifully balanced and structured with fine, silky tannins and lively acidity which persists through the long, refined finish. This is a simply beautiful Barolo, however it will require some bottle age before it shows its full potential.
