The 2018 'Incubo' Cabernet Sauvignon is a drop-dead gorgeous wine from Aaron Pott. This marvelous wine is composed of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc which was sourced from the Chateauneuf-du-Pott Estate Vineyard on Mt. Veeder. It immediately impresses as it displays a stunning dark, inky color, which is followed by striking aromatics of ripe dark currants and blueberries, that are accented by sweet exotic spices, violets, graphite, mocha, sweet pipe tobacco, herbs, earthy minerals and hints of loam that all explode from the glass. The palate is every bit as impressive, as it offers a wonderful full-bodied texture, that is layered and expressive. This possesses remarkable concentration with layers of beautifully ripe dark fruits that resonate from its core. It continues to impress with its striking overall balance and an incredible seamless texture that leads up to the supple finish. Overall, this is an absolutely mesmerizing wine, that will be open for business upon release, however it will also have a long, extremely bright future ahead.
