The 2018 Saunders Vineyard is yet another outstanding release from Bevan in this vintage. This colossal wine instantly grabs your attention with its impressive dark color and intense aromas of ripe black and blue fruits which are joined by fresh violets, cinnamon, espresso, tilled-soil and sweet exotic spices that all come together and burst from the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied, powerful and layered with incredible concentration and amazing overall depth. This Cabernet goes on to impress with its dense core that is laced with rich flavors of sweet black and blue fruit that combine with sweet spices and loamy notes that continue to build up to the long, mouth-coating finish. This does not hold back any punches, and while this is certainly impressive in its youth, it will evolve exceptionally well for many years to come.
