BEVAN CELLARS Cabernet Sauvignon, Harbison Vineyard 2018

Harbison Vineyard is a tiny 3-acre site that sits on some of Oakville's most prime real estate, tucked in between Screaming Eagle and Tench Vineyards. The 2018 is a simply brilliant wine from Bevan, which showcases the purity and beautiful Cabernet fruit from this fantastic site. As this evolves in the glass it release incredibly perfumed aromas of perfectly ripe dark and red currants along with dark cherries, which are joined by fresh crushed violets and Asian spices with underlying hints of cigar box, iron and fresh sage that all take shape. On the palate this possesses a simply gorgeous, full body that displays stunning elegance, with beautifully polished tannins that result in a wonderful seamless quality. It continues to impress with its remarkable balance as it comes to an end with striking finesse. Overall, this is a total beauty of a wine that is already showing outstanding, but it also has the potential to evolve gracefully and drink beautifully for decades.
