The 2017 Mt. Brave Cabernet Sauvignon is an absolutely remarkable wine in this vintage from Chris Carpenter. It begins to impress with its wonderful aromatics of ripe blackberries and dark currants, which are accented by graphite, loam, spices, violets and sweet baking spices. This possesses a gorgeous medium to full body that is beautifully structured and polished. It goes on to display outstanding concentration ending with a long, supple finish. This is extremely attractive today, especially with a few hours of air contact, that being said, this should have no problem lasting a decade or more in the cellar.
