The 2017 ’S.L.V.’ is composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from the historic 35-acre S.L.V. Estate vineyard. The wine itself is fabulous in this vintage, offering inviting aromas of ripe blackberries, dark cherries and plums, which are woven together with nuances of dark chocolate shavings, roasted espresso, loam, graphite, fresh cut violets and spices that all flow from the glass. The palate is medium to full-bodied and structured with beautifully polished tannins. It displays wonderful overall depth and complexity through the seductive finish. Winemaker Marcus Notaro has crafted a spectacular wine that will provide plenty of enjoyment in its youth, but also has the potential to evolve gracefully for years to come.
