The 2015 Tabarrini Montefalco Rosso 'Boccatone' begins to open with aromas of cherries and red berries woven together with spices, licorice, leather, florals and an earthy character all developing in the glass. On the palate this is nicely structured with fine, velvety tannins and wonderful overall balance. It finishes up long with fresh red cherries and spices that linger on and on. This is already showing lots of early appeal, but will ultimately benefit even more from another year or two of additional bottle age.
