Kistler's Pinot Noir from Laguna Ridge Vineyard is a beautiful showing in 2017. It offers a complex bouquet, with layered aromas of black cherry, pomegranate , black raspberries, and forest floor, complemented by hits of charcoal, black tea, mushroom, mint, and dried herbs. On the palate this is medium to full-bodied with lots of intense flavors of red and dark berries, spice, and earthy notes. The finish is mouth watering, with a lovely touch of acidity framing the tart cherries and spice flavors. This is an absolutely stunning Pinot Noir that should continue to evolve beautifully over the next decade and offer a drinking window that spans well beyond that.
