Sourced from the Houyi Vineyard on Pritchard Hill, this Cabernet Sauvignon is absolutely exceptional in this vintage. Displaying an incredible pitch dark color that is followed by intensely perfumed aromatics of ripe blackcurrants and blueberry liqueur, which are woven together with graphite, violets and sweet spices, along with underlying nuances of freshly turned soil, tar, fresh sage and mocha that all come together and burst from the glass. On the palate this majestic Cabernet is big, powerful and multi-layered, with an incredibly concentrated core of sweet dark fruits, yet it possesses remarkable freshness, purity and a stunning supple mouthfeel that continues seamlessly through the multidimensional finish. This is a flat-out seductive bottle of Cabernet from Russell Bevan that is utterly delicious today, however it should also go on to drink exceptionally well for years to come.
