The 2015 'I Sodi di San Niccolò' is an absolutely gorgeous showing. This fantastic blend of 85% Sangioveto and 15% Malvasia Nera begins with inviting aromatics of cherries and dark berries woven together with herbs, spices, tobacco and leather that all emerge from the glass. On the palate this is beautifully structured with excellent focus, depth and a wonderful textural presence that leads up to the long finish. This is a simply sensational Tuscan red that has incredible potential to age marvelously for many years to come.
