The 2016 'Owner's Blend' is an absolutely sensational showing from Frank Family, which is composed of primarialy Cabernet Sauvignon from Winston Hill Vineyard, along with the addition of Cabernet Franc and a dash of Petit Verdot. This spectacular red immediately begins to impress as it bursts open with seductive aromas of ripe dark currants and black cherries, which are are woven together with graphite, savory herbs, fresh florals, damp loam and hints of lightly charred oak. It goes on to impress with its medium-plus to full body, and gorgeous plush texture that delivers layers of beautiful ripe dark fruit that expand across the palate. This continues to impress all the way through the long finish, where it remains nicely balanced with a wonderful sense of freshness that makes this simply stunning in its youth. While this is nearly impossible to resist now, it also has the potential to evolve gracefully for many years to come.
