The 2017 Durell Vineyard Chardonnay is another beautiful wine from Tor in this vintage. This Wente clone Chardonnay is sourced from a block on the “Sand Hill” part of this premier Sonoma County vineyard. The resultant wine is beautifully fresh and clean, with wonderful clarity and poise. Aromas of citrus fruits, mineral and floral blossoms all come together beautifully. Displaying outstanding balance and precision, along with gorgeous bright acidity and underlying minerality, this is an utterly delightful Chardonnay which is already incredibly impressive, yet should also continue to develop character with short-term bottle aging.
