The 2015 'Kaley Elizabeth' is absolutely stunning. This blend of 97% Cabernet and 3% Cabernet Franc was aged in 60% New Taransaud barrels for 22 months. It instantly grabs your full attention with its mesmerizing aromatic profile of ripe red/dark currants and cassis underlined by sweet florals and roasted coffee along with hints of dusty earth and loam all developing in the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied with outstanding structure, backed by beautifully polished tannins and a gorgeous seamless quality throughout. This demonstrates incredible range as flavors of ripe currants, roasted coffee and a sweet loam character continue to resonate on the palate. It further impresses with its fantastic overall concentration, depth and remarkable length through the long, supple finish. This is an absolute gem from winemaker Jeff Ames and while it is already sensational in its youth, it also possesses the characteristics to evolve in the cellar for decades.
