Simply gorgeous on the nose, the 2013 Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos 'Red Label' shows inviting aromatics of honey, popcorn, vanilla crème brûlée and roasted pineapple that continue to build in the glass. The palate shows wonderful acidity and tension as fruit is secondary to the moving minerality. Mango, pineapple, apricot, lychee and crème brûlée flavors impress. Balanced and highly seductive, this fantastic Tokaji will continue to develop nicely over the next fifteen to twenty years.
