This Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the 330-acre Oakville Ranch Vineyard, which lies 1,400 feet above the valley floor on the foothills of the Vaca Mountains on the eastern edge of Oakville. This vineyard was replanted in 2006 and is becoming a premier site for Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine itself opens to inviting aromatics of ripe black currants, cassis, mocha, spices, violets, herbs, tobacco and graphite all taking shape. On the palate this possesses a full body with a gorgeous mouthfeel, backed by beautifully polished tannins. It continues to impress with excellent overall structure and depth, as layers of dark fruits, spices and mocha continue to build through the finish. This is a fantastic Cabernet from winemaker Erich Bradley, which should age remarkably well over the next decade plus, however it is also extremely appealing today. This is Sojourn's inaugural release from this vineyard and they have decide to bottle this Cabernet in Magnum only.
