La Pelle – 2021/2022

Latest Releases from La Pelle:

La Pelle Wines is a boutique Napa Valley producer founded in 2016 by a trio of seasoned industry professionals—Maayan Koschitzky (winemaker and farmer from Israel, former Screaming Eagle harvest intern and current Director of Winemaking for Atelier Melka), Miguel Luna (Mexican viticulturist and winemaker), and Pete Richmond (Northern California vineyard manager and founder of Silverado Farming Company). Their name, which means “the shovel” in French, reflects their philosophy of crafting wines rooted in meticulous vineyard work and thoughtful cellar techniques—a process guided by that very tool from field to tank.

All of La Pelle’s fruit comes from vineyards they manage—either owned or farmed—across prestigious Napa AVAs like St. Helena, Coombsville and Oak Knoll District. The winemaking and viticulture teams work hand‑in‑hand throughout the growing season—pruning, canopy management, picking decisions—to capture terroir in every bottle.

La Pelle is a thoughtfully cultivated Napa boutique: small-batch, estate‑like, terroir-driven wines underpinned by experienced hands in both vineyard and winery. The focus is on Cabernet Sauvignon (from single-vineyard to prestige reserve), complemented by Sauvignon Blanc and coastal varietals like Chardonnay and Syrah. Their wines are marked by elegance, powerful yet refined tannins, vibrant acidity, and lasting age-worthiness—and the latest releases certainly live up to this reputation.
