The 2009 Rosso di Valtellina from AR.PE.PE is a wonderful display of Nebbiolo from the Grumello and Sassella zones in Valtellina. This is impressive for its elegant style, which brings pretty aromas of fresh strawberries and white cherries followed by dried roses and wet stones. The gorgeous delicate structure supported by fine, silky tannins and ends with a fresh, clean finish. Overall, this is a beautiful wine and an excellent rendition of the varietal.
