Location: United States, Washington State, Columbia Valley
A Washington State winery with no equal, Quilceda Creek is dedicated exclusively to the production of world-class Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux varietals. Founded in 1979, Quilceda Creek has become a benchmark for Cabernet Sauvignon in Washington State and there’s a reason for such excellence. The meticulous attention to detail that I noticed during my trip to the winery is surely a part of the equation. But it's not only the attention to detail, and precision winemaking techniques, which make Quilceda Creek a premier producer of Cabernet Saivignon. Quilceda Creek also sources their grapes from some of the very best vineyards in the entire state, including Champoux Vineyard, Galitzine Vineyard and Wallula Vineyard, which contain Cabernet Sauvignon along with Palengat Vineyard and Tapteil Vineyard which contain other other varietals including Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
Below are our tasting notes from the new releases from Quilceda Creek winery.
