Heitz Wine Cellars is a true Napa Valley legacy, founded by pioneering vintner Joe Heitz and his wife Alice in 1961. Joe and Alice shared an innovative, entrepreneurial spirit that helped usher in Napa’s modern era with his iconic wines—including Napa Valley’s first vineyard-designated Cabernet Sauvignon, the legendary Martha’s Vineyard Caberent.
Today, the Heitz family continues to uphold the family tradition with President and CEO Kathleen Heitz Myers responsible for making their wines available in 50 states and 25 countries around the globe. While Winemaker David Heitz, along with the help of his son Harrison, continue to offer an impressive range of wines including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Zinfandel, and Cabernet Sauvignon. They also make a Port made from a blend of Portuguese grape varieties and a Rosé made from Grignolino.
We had the opportunity to taste some of the latest releases from Heitz Cellar. The dedication, integrity and tradition the Heitz family puts into each of their wines, along with the fact they are simply incredible and remain true to character, all play a role in the reason their wines have gained such a well renowned reputation around the world.
